The Sweetest Grandmother

My grandmother passed away on July 29, 2016. Surrounded by love from her two eldest daughters and her son-in-law.

This is the poem I wrote for her farewell gathering.
Through Infinity
My body was tired, so I went to sleep,

Please don’t cry, please don’t weep.

I’ll be with you every single day,

In your heart is where I’ll stay.
It was time for me to move on,

Though I am not here, I am not gone.

Look around you and you’ll see,

I live on through your family.
I’ve gone to meet Norm, you see,

To travel our journey through infinity.

We’ll be up there painting the sky,

Look at the sunrise, that’s us saying “Hi.”
